All-solid-state lithium-ion batteries (ASSLIBs) replace the liquid electrolyte with a solid electrolyte (SE). Both the electrodes and the electrolyte are solids, so the interfaces are buried. Side reactions, poor contact, and lithium dendrites are hard to see directly.
